Must we report internships to our community college? I found an internship in a city outside of my CC's city and I do not need any units since I already have many AP Units. It also seems like the internship units aren't UC/USC transferable, so I don't know why there is an option to select " X field internship" in the course list. Seems like theres a lot of paperwork to do if you want units , but idk why anyone would if they aren't UC transferable in the first place.

One reason why:

Some people might be considered a part time student instead of full time if they don’t have their internship count for units… thus less financial aid.

Unknownpleasures-It’s usually an HR thing at the company. Unless you are a paid intern, you are working for free and there are labor laws. They usually need documentation that you are getting school credit for it to put in your file. They could get into a lot of trouble for expecting people to work for free, KWIM?
