I was wondering what the minimums for the apft were. I was also wondering what the minimums looked like for the other academies.

the min is 60 in each test. those are predy darn easy, so dont worry about minimums.

What are the max amounts for the events?

I think you will find this helpful on the APFT

http://www.hooah4health.com/4You/apft.htm

Your score range will depend on your age and gender.

if you max all three- you go into extended scoring.

8izenuf is correct.
For example, I am familiar (very) with one female 18 yr old cadet who scored a 347 on the female scale which translated to a 280 on the male scale for the APFT. You will be required to take it and pass several times each year at WP. For you to get points over the max of 300 you must max out on all three events. For an 18 year old male to max all three events he must do 71 pushups, 78 situps and run the 2 mile in 13m or less. Keep in mind that when you are graded you will have any pushups/situps which are not "perfect" (at least in the eyes of the grader) disallowed---work on your technique as well as the number of reps.

the army no longer officially uses the extended apft scoresheet

yeah, but for instance, my rotc BN uses the extended scoring.

It is still used at West Point.

For someone aged 17-21, the standards are as follows:

pushups: 42 pushups in 2 minutes (harder than it sounds, due to the fact that you are not allowed to rest in any other position than front-leaning rest. If you rest on the ground, the event is terminated)

situps: 55 situps in 2 minutes (again, you are only allowed to rest in the "up" position. resting with your shoulders on the ground result in termination).

2-mil run: 15:50.

However, do not think that the minimums are acceptable. And do not think that if can pass the minimums on your own practice tests, that you will be able to pass them on the real test. You need to be able to exceed the standards
