quick question about applying for MBA

Hi,

Although I still have quite a while before I apply for an MBA, I was wondering if applying for the MBA is similar to that of applying to many colleges in that you are applying for a specific major (or I guess in this case a concentration) rather than just the school in general? Does it vary from school to school, or is it a universal thing where you apply for a specific concentration (i.e. if I want to do IT, I apply for the IT concentration and won't be considered for the Finance concentration) or if you just apply to the school as a whole (i.e. lets say that I want to do IT, but I don't specify that concentration, I just apply to the school and declare while there)?

No, you apply for the general MBA program, and then take courses (depending on the flexibility of the individual school) in what you want to focus in.
