I'm planning to retake the SAT and ACT in December. Now, can I submit the electronic application right now even before recieving these test results? I would assume that I should put the December SAT/ACT scores as "--" for all the fields and they will understand that I am planning to take it in December, right? And they will see the latest scores once I send in the score report? Will I have to do anything else, such as write a letter to them to change my submitted December test scores?

yeah you pretty much answered your own questions, and you won't have to do anything. they look at the official reports

Ah, awesome. Thanks for the quick reply!

On an unrelated question, I wonder how late am I if I send in the apps in the next 2 weeks. Considering how so many people turned in their apps so early, I must be one of the last few, which does not bode well for my application process (I hear the adcoms sort of get tiresome after reading the 10,000th personal statement) =(.

for RD we still have a lot of time, i know tons who haven't submitted, if you submit now you will definitely be fine.
