Quick Question about ELC

<p>I got my ELC notification letter about a week or so ago. In some of the older information packets for the UCs, they talk about getting an ELC identification code in the mail shortly after the notification letter. </p>

<p>However, towards the end of my notification letter, it says that when you apply to the UCs “You are not required to include any information to identify yourself as an ELC student.” I was wondering if they changed it this year or should I still be expecting a code to arrive in the mail?</p>

<p>Call the ELC office and ask for the code or another copy of the letter be sent out. Yes, you are not REQUIRED to identify yourself as an ELC student, but it earns additional points at UCSD – not to mention near-automatic admission to the ELC campuses – so it’s to your benefit to do so.</p>
