quick question about email...

I just got an email from an adcom saying Harvard wants me to send in samples of research work I did over the summer (from my internships). Is this normal? And...what should I send in? An abstract, if anything? The email sounds somewhat formal and almost looks like a blanket email...has anyone else gotten this? Sorry to bother, I'm just worried I guess...

Yes, it's normal, but I doubt that it's universal. Send in abstracts and a full article or two if you have them (as long as they aren't insanely long).

Shouldn't be a problem to confirm the work you did. It may be your chance to shine. Hopefully you didn't embellish too much

how do y'all get these personal emails telling you to send in stuff? ***. Why are they interested in one person over another? Hell, I could have sent in research abstracts.
