When sites such as Princeton Review etc. show the "average GPA of entering freshman", is that their final GPA after senior year? unweighted I assume? core, academic, or overall GPA?

probably the overall GPA that the student submitted at the time of application. so like after half the senior year i guess?

But don't you think that those sites get their info from the school's fact books? And if that's true, wouldn't you assume that they would probably post the final GPA of all entering freshmen because they've had time to collect it?

Anyone else?

its a pointless stat. does a 4.0 at some high school in the middle of nowhere in the midwest or south mean the same as a 4.0 from a NE Prep or magnet public like Stuy or TJ? I dont even understand why schools publish this info.
