Quick question about Major Fulfillment (English)

Hey guys - I'm looking at the englbasic pdf that outlines classes needed for the major fulfillment (<a href="http://www.english.ucla.edu/academics/undergraduate/engl">http://www.english.ucla.edu/academics/undergraduate/engl</a></em>basic.pdf) , and I had a question about the notation used. Under "The Major," it says "English 100-199 (two courses)". Does this mean I can take ANY upper division course that falls between those two respective numbers? It also mentions "English 140A-182C (three courses)." I just want to make sure that I don't make a mistake on something significant like fulfilling major requirements.

Thanks a lot!
Ron

yes to both your questions. but you can only use 141a once [for the shakespeare]... so each dash or slot on the list is a DIFFERENT COURSE so that you total 12 full upper-div courses.
