<p>I doubt it is required, if it were I think it would be clearly stated somewhere. I doubt with 4000ish freshman they will miss the few who are unable to attend. Just be proactive in getting the helpful info you may need from the website and your advisor.</p>
<p>Thanks coskat, that’s what I assumed but I just wanted a second opinion. It just takes the pressure off if I can’t make it that day, and I will definitely make sure everything’s taken care of with my advisor.</p>
<p>Definitely is something you should go to though…really can be useful. If you absolutely can’t go, I’d definitely call an adviser.</p>
