Quick Question about SAT II's?

1) I signed up for 3. I know colleges want 2, but can't I just show them the 2 best ones out of the 3 I took?

2) If I take SAT II's in June, and then take the same ones in October, do I have to show colleges both times of me taking them?

Georgetown requires three. All others that require IIs require two. Northwestern and Johns Hopkins do not require any but recommend three.

The College Board allows you to choose which scores are sent and thus hide the rest. However, not all colleges agree with that and many have a requirement that you must submit all scores and for some of those that includes all SAT II scores. So you really need to check with each college to which you are applying to determine its rules. Also, check on what your high school does – many put all your scores on your official high school transcript that gets sent to colleges.

I believe Harvard requires three as well, unless they changed it (Princeton changed their policy this year).

Each school has a different policy–some allow score choice, others want to see every time you took it. But adcoms say that they only consider your highest score.

They did: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/harvard-university/891064-harvard-now-requires-only-two-subject-tests.html.

Ah. Well that makes Georgetown’s policy even more ridiculous.
