quick question about teacher recs!

I'm not sure if this question has been answered on the other thread about teacher recs....the thread is HUGE and i havent the time to read through all 30 some pages of it! D: haha

Anyways, I am a junior in high school currently thinking about which teachers to ask for recs
The problem is that I feel I do not know my high school teachers well enough for them to write a good recommendation for me

BUT I have been taking classes at my local community college and I feel that one of my professors will be able to write a strong rec for me
Is it okay to ask a college professor to write a recommendation for a high school student?

Absolutely!!!

There are no rules written in stone about this. I’d recommend getting a rec from the CC teacher as well as one from your high school.

My son gave his teachers his resume along with his intended college major.

If your school guidance office sends the recommendations out themselves, then have the CC teacher give you a copy (sealed envelope) for you to give to your guidance office. If your school has the teachers send the recs directly to your colleges, then give your CC prof a list of schools/addresses or provide addressed envelopes. Provide all stamps.

Tell your prof now that you’d like a recommendation. She/he may choose to write it now even though you won’t need it until fall.

Good luck and smart idea to think ahead!

Thank you!! =)
