I know what the requirements are and all that, but I"m wondering how Brown will consider the scores I sent in. I took the ACT twice and have a 33 superscore (32 highest in one sitting, 31 the other one). But I also took three SAT IIs and got mediocre scores. (chem 650 lit 650 math 2 680). Because they weren’t required to send in, will Brown disregard them in favor of the ACT score? Or will they say: “Hm, well, they’re mediocre but we’re going to consider them in our evaluation of her academic ability”?

Well I think that sending mediocre SAT II scores might have been a small mistake. I'm not sure of Brown's policy in this situation, but I'm pretty sure that they would say that they won't look at them. However, what they most likely do is completely different. Regardless, they are going to see them, and the scores will bring some doubts about your ability, despite a stellar ACT score. At this point it's too late, which is unfortunate. Just hope that they are honest with what they say, although I think 9/10 schools would lie and still take them into account. Hopefully the rest of your application and high school transcript are strong enough to silence any doubts. GOOD LUCK!

Thanks mooseman! I decided to send the scores directly to save money because it's free. I'm retaking them again in Nov, and studying like crazy to bring them up. The rest of my app should be pretty good, and my stats are more or less impeccable otherwise. At this point, I just really want to prove to myself that I can score higher than a 650 on the chem test. I got a 6 on the IB (SL, juniors can't take HL) test, 3's on my internal assessment labs, and an A in the class for two years straight (two year course), and my chem teacher is writing me a reccomendation. arg! why only a 650?? Anyway, what you said was basically what I was thinking, so I might as well make the best of it. :)
