Would UNC allow students to turn in copies of our certificates or other awards??

Yea I called and they said just send in any certificates to the admission office. Make sure your name is just clearly indicated.

Oh nice! Wait now do they want the original or copies??

yall, lol.....if you wanna sent in copies and stuff thats great....but i think that if you just list them on your app that would be sufficient.....REMEMBER DONT LIST LOTS OF ACTIVITIES ON YOUR APP. just list the most important ones that you are really passionate about....it is better to list 5 things that you are really interested in than list 50 things that you are just associated in.

any other q's.... dakota@unc.edu

the thing i called and asked about was a summer program i completed, that doesn't fall under activities or other college course credit (it was at a college but was an all-encompassing program, not chosen courses). i didn't know where to put that on the app so the admissions person just said send in the certificate. i guess it could go in awards/achievements but i don't know. dakota has a point though- if it's a certificate to back up something you've listed in your activities resume, don't cend the copy in. it's superfluous and they just don't need it. for me, i don't even know if i'm going to send in the certificate. it just says i completed the program, but if i write about it in one of my essays i doubt i'll send it in. hope that helps!

dakota- i have 10 things listed-definitely isn't my whole resume. but are those still too many?

I shouldn't think so, not if they're all strong ecs. Most schools have space for about 10 ecs on the app.

as long as they are strong!....

example:
weak: Band 9th grade
beta club 10th grade

strong: Band 9-12th
spanish club president
