Im taking the sat a last time before I apply for colleges this fall as im a senior. To be honest im really only interested in raising my CR and math scores and I will only really study and prepare for those. Going into this test I had hoped I that I could just totally leave the writing section blank because I am happy with my writing score. Is this a bad idea? I had heard colleges wont like seeing a big zero on one section of one test but I mean would it not be obvious I left it blank? I really just want to have extra time to just sit and relax during the test so I can give my math and reading the best effort. please help

You're not supposed to sit back and relax. And no, colleges can't know you did it deliberately. Maybe you really were that bad.

Plus, maybe they'll think you left the writing section BECAUSE you were awful at it.

yea terrible at the writing with a 720 on my transcript? ok. honestly though i swear i have heard about this before and i mean for christs sake if you allow super scoring why is this taboo?

If you got a 720 on the writing, doesn't that mean you could bring that up?

If you have a 200 on a section, chances are they will think you spent your time on other sections

He's right. They could even think you left that question so you'd get extra time to do the other sections... which is cheating.

^i get the same impression lol...
heres what i think, just try the W even though u dont care about it, and chances are, u might do better on W than u expected, lol cuz no pressure? XD
so, not doing w is a terrible idea. u'd be labeled --a cheater
