<p>What exactly is the tablet functions used for? If it is for taking notes, cant we just type the note or use a pencil and paper?</p>
<p>The the tablet functions used in any special programs that cannot be done with a mouse and keyboard just as efficiently?</p>
<p>Also i am looking for sophomores or higher who already took the intro class using a usb tablet (bamboo) and there experiences.</p>
<p>In my intro engineering courses, a tablet computer was required. We all had to install a program called DyKnow on our computers. The instructor would transmit the notes to everyone logged into the DyKnow session. Every once in a while, there would be a slide or two in the presentation that asked everyone in the class to write their response and submit through DyKnow. You couldn’t turn it in through pencil/pen and paper, it had to be electronically submitted in your handwriting. I think the USB tablet would be sufficient for that though.</p>
