So I'm visiting a class at Brown and another at BC tomorrow and I'm not sure what, if anything, I should bring. A notebook for the class? It might seem like a dumb question, but I'm just wondering, I don't want to look dumb. I already arranged the visits with the professors, so that's not a problem. I'm pretty excited to go, even if a bit nervous. Anyway, advice?

Take whatever makes you comfortable. something to take notes on would be great because you can jot down things from your experience to use when writing your why (insert college name here).

It is also good to take a few notes so when you write an e-mail to the professor thanking him/her for allowing you to sit in on the class, you can talk about some points from the class that you found interesting.

have a great time.

I would take a notebook anyways cuz I was the ONLY person without one when I visited a class at UT and I'm sure people were like um who is that idiot?
