Quick question/concern

Does Columbia rate your statistics, SAT, SAT II, and AP scores based on the major you choose as first choice on their application? In other words, if you are presuming a biology major when applying, would they judge you mainly on all your science and math scores and check to see if they are stellar?

Thank you so much!

bumppppp

anyone? please…

I’m not sure if it’s an outright “statement” that the university would make or that they really care what your AP grades are in, but rather how high they are. Same goes for the SAT, as you know, you’re competing with students that have accolades of 4s & 5s and 800s.

It makes sense that if you’re a biology major, that you would take Bio SAT II to showcase yourself that much better. For example, MIT requests specific SAT IIs of their applicants: one in math (Level 1 or Level 2), and one in science (Physics, Chemistry, or Biology E/M).

Best of luck!
