Hi

Do you think I will get into Anthro 3AC if:

Limit:480 Enrolled:372 Waitlist:100 Avail Seats:108 ?

Thank you in advance

Are you on the wait list now? If so, what number are you for the discussion section you’re wait listed for?

^This. It all comes down to what position you are on the waitlist for your discussion section. I’ve been told by numerous professors/GSIs that if you get enrolled into a section but are on the waitlist for the lecture, then they have to let you in. I’m going to go out on a limb then and assume this is the same for most classes. If you’re in the top 3 people on the waitlist for your discussion, then I think it would be worth waiting it out and seeing if you get enrolled. If not, I would try to find another class, but I generally try to play things safe when it comes to the waitlist.

Thank you for your responses.

I am on the waitlist for the lecture and when I go to add the discussion I get the follwoing message:

You are unable to add this course because The Course Control Number you have entered belongs to a lab or discussion section.
You must enter the number for the lecture section first.

I guess it does not let me add the discussion until I am officially in the class…

Never mind the last comment I made. I realized my mistake. Now I am in a discussion and I am currently the only one in there! Thank you for your help!

congratulations - good feeling the first time you beat telebears into submission and get into a class you were worrying over.
