Quick Question, how bad is it if...

...we forgot to put our name on our uploaded documents? they'll still be attached to our account somehow, i hope?

and yeah, it's the guy who forgot to send his SAT scores. i'm a real **** up right now, i'd be surprised if i get in still.

It's not absolutely terrible. It just increases the likelihood that they'll lose your essays. Putting your name / SS number just helps you.

losing my essays. great, lol.

and while we're at it, will they lose track of my teacher recs/school forms if i sent them in before i submitted my Common App?

No, they put those in a physical folder. I wouldn't worry TOO much about the essays. Just call in a month to make sure they have everything.

ok, cool. thanks bro.

Ah.... I definitely assumed that I did NOT need to put my name on my essays when I uploaded them on Common App online, because, yes, it is "attached to our account somehow." I looked at the print preview of my apps/supplement, and they stuck my name and common app id number on my essays. No problem at all.

And yeah, when I checked my app status at one school, they had test scores that I sent them half a year ago. Schools pretty much save everything. You're good to go.

I'm pretty sure that if you send them in online, you don't need to include your name and stuff because they print out with your name on it. I'm pretty sure you only need your name if you're mailing it in

I did the exact opposite of everything cornell wanted me to do when I sent in my app (I used staples instead of paper clips, I didnt put my name/birthday on any of the physical papers that I sent in unless it there was a line for it and I didnt write ED on the outside of my envelope) and I still got in.
