Hello all! First of all, I've been browsing on this site for the past couple of years but never actually made an account till now. I'm glad to read a plethora of more threads now that I'm an actual member.
I'm planning on applying to many CSUs (Chico, Long Beach, San Diego, and San Jose) as well as four UCs (Merced, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, and Davis). I have all of my A-G requirements met except one: During my second semester of freshmen year, I received a D in English. I talked to my counselor concerning this and she said that I would have to take night school to make up for this grade. Let's say if I didn't take night school... Would CSUs be more lenient on that one D I received? Or should I just make up the grade, and mention on my application that I plan on making it up my second semester of senior year? If it helps, I took Honors English my junior year as well as AP Literature this year.
