Quick question on SAT II's

My bro is a freshman right now, and will have to take the new SAT (haha). Does this mean that he will need only 2 SAT II's for colleges that previously required 3, seeing as how the SAT II Writing is now incorporated in the SAT I?

Depends on the school. Some that require 3 with the old SAT still require 3. Others bumped the requirement down to 2.

Make sure you're brother starts thinking about SAT IIs now, so that if he's in, say, a good bio class as a freshman and does well, he takes the bio SAT II. You get the idea...

I believe many of the Ivies are keeping 3, but many others that required 3 before are going down to 2. May want to check older posts...this topic has been covered a few times, or start checking out individual college web sites.

Cornell and Dartmouth want two, UPenn is undecided.
A lot of schools are conforming, but it's still advisable to take three*.
