I have read here on CC about people studying during the summer to skip a class when school starts so I have a few questions about that
How do you skip a class?
Do you get credit for it?
Would it help your GPA or have no effect?
Any tips for doing that?

Thanks in advance!

I know in my school, you have to stay for summer school and take that course you wish to take, and you get credit for. This differs all around so I’m not sure. You usually have to talk with the counselor at your school.

Okay so as I’ve posted several times I’m doing summer Alg II . Here’s the answers to your questions :)

How do you skip a class? - For it was they got the 20 rising sophomores with the highest geometry grades (and 2-3 rising juniors.) They then offered us this course. This is the first year they’ve done it and it’s only availible for Alg II.

Do you get credit for it? Yeah We get a full year of credit

Would it help your GPA or have no effect? For us it’s being weighted as an honors class

Any tips for doing that? Ask your counselors about any opportunities. Idk if anything like this is going on in ur school. It might be too late if summer already started for u.

I went from Algebra II to AP Calc AB, but that was because I transferred schools and took a placement test for math. Otherwise I’d have just finished pre-Calc.

You really can’t ask these questions here, because every school has a different policy. At my school, if we take an official online class anywhere we don’t get credit/have it put on our transcript, but we are allowed to move to the next level of class. At others, they do give credit. At the high school I went to freshman year, all courses had to be taken through the district, no exceptions. Asking about the policy at other schools is pointless.

JHU, you got a problem with my girl leah?

Luhk @ dat, stehken up 4 his grl leah.

oh snap…shii about to go down!..shoooo people bout to fade!

Proper English, guys. ;P

At my school we just take test out of classes. If you took a summer class then you have to pass with a 70 but if you didn’t then you have to get a 90. I am fairly certain that it goes on your transcript but not 100% sure.
