If I apply as a biology major, will it look bad if I've taken Subject Tests in math and chem but not in bio? (I'm not applying to any schools which require 3 Subject Tests)

Here’s the obvious question: why aren’t you planning to take the biology subject test?

I can’t speak for the OP but I know that few students in my D’s high school took the Bio SAT II even if they were contemplating being a Bio major because the NYS Regents curriculum (Living Environment) matched up poorly with the SAT II. The school does not offer AP Biology.

Regardless, I think the Chem and Math II(?) exams will suffice, particularly since you will no doubt be taking Calculus, stats, general Chem and Organic Chem if you pursue the B.S. in Biology.

I don’t think it’s a problem, major means relatively little in most cases since many students change once they’re in college and the other two tests show strength in math/science.

Took the Math II and Chemistry and was accepted into Biological Sciences at Northwestern - I don’t think it’s a problem.
