Quick question on UC essay word limit

Hey,
would 1050 words out of the recommended 100 be fine? I'm asking for a friend of mines. :D

Anyone? (10 char)

can ur friend trim it down a bit?
1050 is going a little bit long but thats just my opinion

recommended 1000 i'm guessing you mean? 50 words over is fine, but what school recommends 1000 words?
If that is not actually a typo and it's actually recommended 100, then 1050 is obviously ridiculous

no its def supposed to be 1000 words

I think I read somewhere it's 1021. Not sure where, but it seems to stick in my head.

john its 1000 words total for two essays.
instructions say:
* Respond to both prompts, using a maximum of 1,000 words total.
* You may allocate the word count as you wish. If you choose to respond to one prompt at greater length, we suggest your shorter answer be no less than 250 words.
* Stay within the word limit as closely as you can. A little over—1,012 words, for example—is fine.

Does anyone know if it's a big deal if the word counts of each one are really imbalanced? Like 650-350?

^^ i think thats fine because ur shorter essay should be at least 250
