quick question regarding "postion" in clubs.

quick question regarding postition of club.

i was the co-president for Math club. but on the common app, it didn't ask to state if its shared or not.. so i just put president.. but another guyfrom my school who is also the co-president put it on his app too and said co-president...

he is applying to some of the same schools..... will it be a big problem? should i send in a note and explain?

I doubt it will be a big problem. I would let it go.

ok.. alright then.. thx

if your friend wants to strangle you, buy him jamba juice.

I would suggest sending a short update note that includes an explanation that you are co-president. In these kind of situations, it's always better to tell the exact truth than a half truth.

mmmmmmmmm jambaaaa

Personally, I think the detail is so minute that it's alright if you leave it be.

Egh, Did you apologize? Just kidding. ;)

Sorry to hijack your thread, but I've run into the same situation in reverse. I founded a club recently, and dubbed myself as " founder and facilitator" on the space given. My "friend" helped me organize it as well and wihtout my permission, she claimed herself as the "founder" in her application and packaged/sent it already before telling me. (Didn't even bother to apologize, either) One of the college she is applying to is the same as mine.
So, she's no longer one of my favorite people in the world anymore, lol. I'm a forgiving person. Sort of, anyway.

If the prez's not your friend, then you're very lucky.

But it sounds like both of you helped found the club. Both of you could claim the title, though it would be better to say "a founder," or "co-founder."

Not to be too technical, but I wanted the distinction as the brainchild (b/c i am) if it got down to the colleges comparing b/t her and me. We're from the same school and there might be countless other applying to that school as well, so that might factor into an acceptance or rejection by just a degree... either that or i'm being overly sensitvie. And talking about this made me realize that I'm not that a great friend either, lol.

But wouldn't the colleges be suspicious that there are two presidents of one club? I remember reading somewhere that a kid was rejected form Yale b/c he put "captain" instead of co-captain
