it says that they will also consider a non-teacher recommendation.

Via the CommonApp Online and Naviance, 3 recommendations were submitted. One from an English teacher, one from a Foreign Language teacher, one from a band director. The band director submitted his first, so I'm worried that they would only look at his and one of the other teacher's. Will Stanford look at all three, at least to realize that I did submit two academic recommendations?

On a sidenote, I'd also really appreciate it if someone was willing to look over my credentials and chance me. I don't want to post all the info here, so please just PM me if you're willing. Thanks!

Similar situation, but I don’t think it will be counted too much against you. Why not contact your admissions officer? Perhaps your application has not been read, and you would like to attach a short note about the prediciment.

Not toooo certain on my statement, but I believe that for the separate teacher recommendation, it should not be through the common application, but rather through the form (stanford has a separate form for extra teacher rec, i believe if I remember correctly). I may be wrong (my extra rec letter was from a nonprofit internship organization president)

I called and they said that they ignore non-academic teacher recs. Since the website/email said that Stanford had received two of my recs, that meant they received the two academic ones.

wait, they’re ignoring non-academic teacher recs?
what? That is sort of ridiculous, considering the fact that the site states that they will consider one non-academic teacher rec -_- (a little annoyed, because I know that my non-academic rec letter will help me A LOT)

Exactly what StanfordCS said. Even if you submit two academic recs and one non-academic recs the correct way (with the special form as jsungoh mentioned), when you check to see what Stanford has received, it will still just say two teacher recs.
