hi,

im thinking about taking a couple classes during the summer at a community college,

A. will this go on my high school transcript? or will it be a separate transcript I submit to colleges?

B. for admissions, will these classes be counted in my GPA? and add to my course rigor? would they be AP or weighted grades?

C. Also, do I get credit for taking these classes once I go to a college?

Thanks.

A &B: It is up to your high school whether they will grant credit and how they would weight it. As for how colleges will view the courses, that depends on what level they are. ENG 101 is not seen the same as Differential Equations.
C: It depends on the college and their particular credit policies.

I’ll just say something about “add to my course rigor.” My counselor has always told me that it’s better to take the AP course than the equivalent intro class at the college. So, if you’re taking classes that go beyond the AP curriculum, they will definitely add to your course rigor.
