So.. I got a couple of new awards from this year's regional competitions (Science Olympiad, FBLA).. 1st, 2nd, and 2nd places... Do you think this is important enough to report to my colleges? Is it too late?

Yes (first question) and no (second question)

How should I do this?
Mail, Fax, or email?

I've heard that fax works the best, but it really depends on the school.

conventional wisdom here on CC seems to be that if you do decide to send something, make it a letter. It shows a little more effort on your part. But more importantly, it's much more likely to make it to your file, as officers have to decide to print out your e-mail to make it to your file

I've decided on a fax... like a letter, only faster

Call and make sure it'll actually make a difference. Some schools, for instance, have likely already gone into selection committee and consequently won't be able to read any new information.
