while i was updating my grades this question popped up:

I dont understand what they are asking. Is it if I have completed english or not?
and this question "If you will have completed a transferable college course in mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning prior to transfer, list it below:
I can either answer as yes, no or not applicable. please restate the question for me please. thank you!

larry, are you transferring from a California community college and completing IGETC?

I didn't finish my UC update yet but logged in last night and poked around a bit so I am kind of familiar with the questions you're....well, questioning.

IGETC requires two English Comp classes. At my CCC (College of the Canyons), they are English 101 and then either English 102 or 103. I just finished 101 in the fall and I am currently taking Eng 102 right now in winter. So there's my two.

As for math, the transferable college course I'm taking is a statistics class, which I'm all signed up for for Spring 08. So that is my transferable college course in math/quantitative reasoning/whatever.

Since I will have both english and math knocked out before transferring, then I would answer "yes" to their question of "If you will have completed prior to transfer..."

Good luck!

yeah i had the question last summer or early fall when i did the grade update and was wondering about the question as well

The answer to the original question seems so easy to me that I'm wondering if I'm missing something.

Anyway...hopefully my first reply helped and was actually what you were asking for.

This question is asked as a way of checking how you believe you are meeting the UC eligibility requirements, especially if you are not transferring from the California Community College system. Since we require two English Composition courses we ask you to list the courses you believe have met the requirement so our evaluators can look at the courses to verify. We, of course, still look at all courses just in case the courses you listed don’t meet the requirement.
