Quick question: would one C hurt you?

Hi! I'm a sophomore and I'm panicking about how I might get a C at the end of the quarter ( we don't have semesters) in Honors Alg 2 and I'm guessing I might have all As in all of my other classes.Plus, do you think that should drop to Regular Alg 2? Help!!

I think colleges might only see the final grade (not quarter) -- why don't you ask your guidance counselor?

I would be too embarrassed to tell my counselor about getting a C!! And I think he would tell me to drop it. This is gonna kill my gpa :(

one C won't make or break admissions to most schools. :)

No, it won't :P

If you get an A for all the rest of the quarters, you might even get an A- or B+. Cheer up! :) You don't have to tell your guidance counselor about the C, although he might already know (ours takes care of and sends out the report cards), but just ask him if colleges will see quarter grades or final grades off your academic transcript?

...One C won't make any difference. At all. They'll assume you accidentally lost one or two homework assignments or something, and it's only for the QUARTER grade, which they don't even see (odds are they'll average the two consecutive quarters into a semester grade themselves).

Your GPA is fine.

might drop your A semester to a B semester or make your A semester a lot harder to obtain. Of course, it's still do able
