Quick Question.

Hey guys,
At the moment, as are many others, I am looking at my options. and UCI is definitely one of them. I am interested in Bio (and the Pre-med track...). I was looking for a chart that is similar to the one I found on other colleges' websites that shows GPA vs. MCAT scores of people who got into med schools after UCI's undergrad. I have been unable to find that so far - does anyone know if this chart exists? Thanks so much for your help!

oceanpartier posted this in the “is irvine as cutthroat as people make it seem” thread:

This sort of statistic is more a measure of the quality of the students than a measure of UCI’s power to put a given student into med school. Just get a 3.6+ gpa, do decently on the MCAT, do research, and volunteering, and you’re pretty likely to get into a medical school no matter which undergrad you go to.

@ aahhhron - thanks a lot!
@ spookyaction2 - just doing that isn’t as easy as it seems…but thanks for the advice ;-)

I know that it’s tough (as evidenced by low med school admissions rates). I guess my point is that this is what it’ll take no matter where you go for undergrad. GPA, mcat score, and research/volunteering are the important components.

Of course - I totally agree…thanks for the input :D
