If you get a full ride to a college that isnt funded by the college can you still get financial aid?

No. If you have a full ride you have no need, so no financial aid.

so theres no loopholes??

Financial is offered as a way to meet, or partially meet, financial need. If you have no need, why would a school offer you financial aid? It sounds like you want to find a way to make money on the deal.

Well, it depends.

The term “full ride” often means tuition, room, board, books…so usually a full ride doesn’t cover transportation and personal expenses, so you still can have a few thousand in “need.” You can get FA for that…but it will likely be a loan. Of course, if you qualify for Pell, you’ll get that, too.

However, if your full ride is so big that it covers all of those COA costs, then you don’t have need. But, you’d still get Pell if you qualify.

NO there are no loopholes. If you get any scholarship you are required to report it to your college. The amount of the outside scholarship will reduce your need. If you have gotten a FULL RIDE then ALL of your costs are being covered and you would have no need at all.

Why would you think you are entitled to additional scholarship money to PAY FOR COLLEGE when your costs are being met? No…there are NO loopholes whereby you can make a “profit” with your financial aid.
