Quick Question

What is the difference between Early Decision and Early Decision II?

ED1 is due in November, usually November first and is a binding decision. You get your decision in six weeks, or mid December. Your GPA is calculated from Freshman to Junior. Your classes are shown for senior year, no grades though.

ED2 is due in January, usually Jan 1 and is also binding. It is for students who wish to show growth senior year…it shows updated senior year grades. You also get your decision in six weeks, or mid February.

This might not be true for all colleges, but the Davidson rep said in an info session recently that the only difference is the date of the application deadline.

Just the deadline dates.

Both are binding.

Wait, so can you do ED II if it’s after ou were rejected from your Ed school before he deadline?

@seahawks506,
Are you asking if you can apply to a different school EDII if you were rejected from your EDI school?
If so, I believe that is possible.
