Quick question

Would I get more financial aid if I showed them I worked? Or would it be better to say I didn't work? Which option would help me get more aid or are they both the same?

I am a current Junior and I was thinking about getting a job.
All the tips/advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Your need based financial aid will largely be based on your parents’ incomes and assets. Any money you have the day you file your FAFSA (as a student) will be tapped at 20% of the value.

Having or not having a job has no bearing on whether you will get financial aid EXCEPT that your savings will be tapped for a contribution. Working/not working in and of itself will not matter…schools don’t base their decisions on whether you work…it’s the amount of money you have.

Thank you for the info!
