Quick question

I’m making my 4 year plan, and I decided to go look at Harvard’s recommendation for highschool classes and they say you should take AP European History and 4 years of Spanish (In my case… Spanish for Spanish speakers), but I was almost done making my 4 year plan and I’m worried that when I finally start applying to colleges in 4 years, they’re gonna look at other applications with classes such as AP European History or 4 years of spanish and think mine is bad: What do you think? Oh yeah, and are these too many EC’s?

Dude, you’ve already gotten so much advice from CC posters. It’s good to have a four-year plan, but it shouldn’t be targeted at a specific school. It should be geared towards things that will interest and challenge you. And remember to stay flexible! A year ago, I had no idea that I’d compete in math competitions, or take AP Bio as a sophomore, or join the GSA, or be able to take German 3, or have a job. Don’t plan so much that you fail to see new opportunities.

AP World History ==> same level as AP European History. One focuses on areas of the world outside of Europe, starting with prehistory. The other one starts in the 16th century and goes to the early 21st century. Both as equally hard and equally rigorous.
Spanish for Spanish Speakers 3/AP Spanish Language and Culture
Communication Applications/Psychology PreAP
Principles of Health Science => is that a mandatory class?

=========> GOOD (see note on APWH)

11th grade:

AP English Language and Composition
PreCalculus PreAP
AP Biology
AP US History
AP Physics 1
Health Science 1

======> add an art class (theater/drama, drawing, singing…; anatomy&Physiology will not help with premed and taking 4 sciences would be considered overkill.)

12th grade:

AP English Literature and Composition => replace with Honors English. You’ll be too busy.
AP Calculus BC
AP Chemistry
AP US Gov. and Pol./AP Macro-Economics
AP Psychology ====> really un-necessary but you could take if if you still want to when it’s 2020
Clinical Rotation

As for EC’s, try out for all of those, then select the 2 activities you’ll try to push the furthest.

As usual I agree with @MYOS1634 , but just to clear up some misconceptions:

No they don’t. They say preferably one year of European History (it does not need to be AP); APWH is a valid substitution.
