right now im thinking about applying SCEA to Stanford which is due November 1, however I would like to retake both my SAT 1 and my SAT 2's. My question then is, I'm going to take the SAT 1 again in October and include it on my app. but I'll have to wait until November to retake the SAT 2's and then once I get my SAT 2 results I'll mail that in to them. Is this legit? Or can you not do that?

they won't take it into consideration if you take them in november. or at least they won't guarantee they'll take it into consideration. this happened to me when i applied. i took sat II's in oct and was SCEA. i called to see if my results from that test would be considered and they said they couldn't promise it would...so since yours are in nov, i wouldn't count on it at all.

i think if you take any test in october those results are guaranteed to be into consideration, the only thing thats in doubt is if you take in november. the best way i guess is to just fill out the form of colleges you want to send scores to when you take the test and hope they receive it before they look at your application. or even better, hopefully those test scores dont make or break you.

I spoke to the admissions office about this a week ago. They will consider your October scores as long as you specify Stanford as one of the recipients of your scores when you register for the test. You don't have to order a rush report for October scores. November scores aren't guaranteed to be evaluated.

Hello, I have a question about SCEA or RD. I am planning on applying to Stanford as a reach. I have a gpa of 3.8uw 4.3 w. I am a full IB diploma student. SAT: 700m 670v 710w SATII: 700iic 740 physics, 650 lit. I have a good list of EC and am a cancer survivor- I should get excellent recommendations. My question is, am i better off to wait and apply RD assuming my SAT scores should improve 20-30 pts in each section... or is SCEA a better way to go? I know its a reach and i probably wont get in anyway- but any advice i would appreciate.

Ive heard (not sure if its true) that SCEA improves your chances by equivalent of 20-50 SAT points, like i said i have no idea how valid this is
