Which one do you think i should put on my app, math 1c 800 or 2c 790?
Thanks.

They're both just fine -- excellent in fact -- and will be seen as pretty much indistinguishable by the Admissions folks. They're giving the scores a quick glance to make sure it seems to support your ability to handle the work at MIT, and either of those scores would indicate that. Besides, they'll see both scores on your official score report, so it won't matter which you list on the app. Pick either one.

Thanks a lot.

Those are both good scores. Math IC 800 is a higher percentile (99) than Math IIC 790 (~88), though, so you might want to put IC in.

all your sat IIs are sent so it doesnt really matter
personally i'd put the 2c since its so much more advanced than 1c,
mit prob want students that challenge themselves, not students who take easy stuff for a better grade

I'd put in 2C.

I'd do 1C, you're in a higher percentile that way.

Higher percentile, but easier test. But as Mootmom said, they'll see all your scores anyway. If I were in the admissions office of MIT, (and I'm not), I'd expect most applicants to choose to take the harder Math SAT2. The percentiles are irrelevant. Only top students take the Math2, you can't be in the 99th percentile even if you get an 800. But you've still demonstrated that you know more material.

One more vote for it really does not matter. Both are excellent scores, end of story. Test scores are only a small part of the equation. We will revisit this issue no doubt in mid March.
