<p>In terms of a better premed education, which of the following schools is better: UCD or UCI? I’ve been accepted into UCD under Biotechnology, and not under the Biomedical Engineering: Premed, while I have been accepted into UCI under Biomedical Engineering: Premed. I also know that the path to med school doesn’t have to involve taking a special “premed” pathway, but just something that includes all the required courses as designated by the med school.</p>
<p>In terms of a "better premed education," you'll soon find that it doesn't matter what major you're in. The "better" one would be the one that gives you a higher GPA. Research opportunities are also important, but most undergraduate research projects require that you have high grades in the required courses. Essentially, it comes down to where you can get the highest grades.</p>
