hey guys, quick question for you. I received an email from nyu on feb 2nd saying they had received my app and that i would be receiving a letter "shortly" in the mail that signals initial processing has begun on my app. Well it's been a month and still no letter. Why is it taking so long?

I also got the email but no letter.
When I called awhile back to check and make sure everything was in (I have two transcripts from two different schools that needed to be there, and it's important I can give them the heads up if a transcript didn't make it) the woman said I'd get a letter if anything was missing. I really hope nothing is missing, because it's a pain having to get my old teacher up in Canada (i'm in Texas now!) to send transcripts. I feel bad requesting so many. Yeah, so, I have no idea.

I'm in the same boat - email, but no letter.

I think thats common. I remember reading on here about someone who applied ED and that happened. They got in so no worries.

I'm not worried about getting the confirmation, I just hope my application is complete . They're busy enough at this time, an email will suffice.

i didnt get a letter but they are now sending me mail every week about how great it is... so i guess its done?

arg i want my letter!
