This question is specifically about the OSU Application, but some of you guys may know, so I'm posting it here.

I'm about ready to submit and there's a question that says: "If you do not want to file the FAFSA and wish to be considered for university-administered merit scholarships... ... please check here."

I'm not sure whether I should check it or not. My parents make a lot of money (over 100,000) and I'm eligible for a full tuition scholarship (for NMS) so filing the FAFSA won't get me any extra money, I don't think. However, my parents want me to file it because "you never know" and some of the schools that I am applying to may give us aid.

Now, on the brochure that OSU sent me, it says that you can "submit the FAFSA for more options" so I'm thinking that means that if I submit the FAFSA I can still receive merit scholarships, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know if I can submit the FAFSA and still receive a merit scholarship for sure?
