Quick Question

To get it out there, I'm a freshman and this is my first semester. Tomorrow I have an exam in a second level statistics class. I need an 80 to get a B for the semester, coincidentally tomorrow is the last day I can withdraw from a class. Apparently, my adviser signed me up for the wrong stat class (should be in biological statistics) and it fulfills no requirements.

The class isn't terribly difficult but I rather not get a C for the semester. Would you guys recommend taking a W over a C or B-. The exam is early in the morning, so I figure I can probably get my grade before the 4 pm withdrawal deadline. Without the stat grade my GPA is sitting pretty around a 3.8, with a B or C it would drop a bit.

I need some help deciding what to do. If it matters the professor told the class he knows how important grades are and he wants everyone to walk away with a good grade. He also said it wasn't out of the ordinary for a grade to go from C to an A after he reviews it. ( No idea how that works) But I don't want to be caught with my pants down when I have a C on my transcript. Do you guys have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Never mind, swung a B+ in the class, no idea how that happened.

that's great. Congratulations

for future reference though, I think that if you feel you will never use it again nor will you ever get lower than a C then it wouldnt hurt to use it. If it were me however, I may have taken the C since it isnt a science course.
