Quick Question

Collegeboard says this about Penn test requirements:
"SAT Reasoning Test and SAT Subject Tests; or ACT"
so if I take the ACT, I don't need subject tests?

^yes, you are correct. no subject tests required if you take the ACT.

do they want them though? As in “highly recommend?”

Nope. You don’t need to submit them if you take the ACTs. They’re pretty specific about that.

The American College Test with Writing, may be used in lieu of the SAT Reasoning Test and two SAT Subject Tests.

Sweet. What is a good ACT score for a latino who would apply ED to Wharton?

just in case tho [cuz u never kno] its always best to call them and ask

yeah okay, i will call the admissions office. But any input on the ACT range?

aim for a 33+. don’t use AA as a fallback… it can backfire.

Transfer applicants don’t need to take any Subject Tests do they?

if ur applying to wharton i believe its recommended that u send them a math subject test or something. i’d do Math2 just to legitimize ur math skills

^^^I’m not sure that’s necessary if the OP gets a high Math score on the ACT. I am a URM as well, seemed to have worked for me (although every individual situation is unique). Although my math could have been legitimized through my coursework, I wouldn’t waste money on the exam if my ACT is already high enough (unless you will need them for other schools).

Well i’ll be taking calc during senior year… i dunno how that affects opinions.

any other opinions on ACT score would be greatly appreciated! thanks!
