Quick Question

Hi

I’ve recently received ELC status and got a letter saying I was guaranteed admission into UC Davis.

This semester I am taking Speech and Debate, American Gov/Econ, Ethics (at a community college), and Pre Cal (also at a community college).

For various reasons I had to withdraw from my Pre Cal class at the college. I have already taken from Algebra 1 to Trig and meet my A-G requirements without the Pre Cal class. Will my withdraw from the class hinder my guaranteed admissions in anyway? Also do I report that I withdrew from the class on my UC Davis application?

Thank you in advance to anyone who can help.

I am a parent of an ELC student, so we are new to this process as well, however the ELC status was based on your status as being in the top 4% of your class. The reason you have to still apply to the colleges is to make sure you also qualify with the proper A-G, etc. So dropping a 12th grade class should not affect your application and I would not mention it if I were you.

since it’s math I hope you’ve taken three years of high school math because that I believe is part of the requirement of ELC because you have to take a certain amount of A-G classes etc. so if this is your 4th year in math then you should be ok
