Quick question

Hey everyone I'm just wondering... if i'm going to transfer to a university from a CC...my old SAT scores don't matter anymore right? If I got a 1600 it would not improve my chances getting in anywhere... is this correct????

It would not help if your trying to transfer with over 60 units as a Jr.

Nice score!

Hey thanks for your reply! Well i said "if" i got a 1600...but ya i didn't get a very good score on the SAT..I'm a slow test taker and there just wasn't enough time for me during the test.

it actually depends on the school. there are a number of schools that require SAT scores for junior transfers, including all of the ivy's, and this can be a key part of your application, though it's not as important as your essay or college grades, etc. if you scored below a 1300 and are looking at the more competitive schools, consider retaking the SAT. if the schools youre looking at specifically do not ask for SATs, obviously dont bother.

If you're applying to the UCs or Cal States, no, there wont be anywhere for you to enter SAT scores (or high school grades, for that matter). However, most private and out of state schools will want them.

Actually I tranferred to a csu from a cc and they definately requested my sat scores. but then again I was a sophmore 30 units under my belt at the time. If you'll have the 60 as collegeman123 said they won't need 'em but lower division transfers definately apply using a combination of high school and college records.

if u got a 1600, I'd report it! it can't hurt . . . but generally they do not care too much about hs stats.
