so on the MyPenn Portal, on the bulletin board, it says "Outstanding Application Materials." What exactly does this mean?

things you are missing, but penn isn’t updating it so frequently, so don’t worry about it. penn will contact you if you are actually missing anything.

it means your application materials are outstanding. Good job, you impressed them!

^ i second necrophiliac’s comment. Good job!!
But it depends on what sections of your application appear here. Is it the transcript, because if they list your transcript as “outstanding” then you stand a pretty good chance since you have impressed them with your academics, which is difficult considering the caliber of student that applies to Penn.

So put out your arm, raise it above your head, and pat yourself on the back.

You are that much closer to being accepted.

haha ok ok just kidding. It means they are missing this material, but as xxLajxx pointed out it might simply be that they have not updated it. If you truly are missing something, they will contact you. I had the same problem, they contacted me, i faxed them what i was missing, problem solved, everyone happy!

yeah you’re probably right. They even sent me an email that they have received my whole app and I never got an email from them saying that they are missing anything.

But seriously, “outstanding?” You’d think they can find a better word to use for “missing items.”

Then youre set if they send you an email saying so. My portal kept saying i didnt have my sat scores up to the day they took down the portal in preparation for the ED decisions, but they did contact me saying they had everything
