I want to focus on math when I apply to Caltech, but I realized I took significantly less college math classes in my junior year compared to my sophomore year. I took 5 in soph, and 2 in junior. On the plus side, my GPA in those 5 soph classes is only a 3.78, while in the other juniuor classes, its a 4.0. Will this seem like a flag for Caltech?

Damn. What are you on now? Lie algebra?

Nope. Took Diff Eq and Real Analysis junior year, taking abstract algebra, real analysis 2, topology, light/heat this year

Cool. What did you take sophomore year?

multi, stats, linear algebra, discrete math, number theory.

Anyone?

Your math preparation is fine. You'll do fine. Don't worry about it.
