<p>1) My high school gives 4.0 credit for an A in a regular class, 5.0 credit for an A in an honors class, and 6.0 credit for an A in an AP class. My unweighted GPA is a 4.0 out of 4.0 and my weighted GPA is a 5.49 out of _____. The CommonApp asks me to fill in that blank, basically, and I'm confused as to whether it is a 4.0 or a 6.0.</p>

<p>2) On my counselor recommendation form (secondary school report), there's one line that asks "How do you rank?" and "Applicant Rank." My guidance director was stumped as to what that was supposed to mean. Any ideas?</p>

<p>Your GPA is 5.49 on a 4.0 scale. Although honors/AP classes are weighted, it’s still a 4.0 scale.</p>

<p>The next issue they’re asking is how your school ranks, and then what your particular rank is.</p>
