Quick SAT Math Question

Thank you for any help ahead of time.

I've noticed that I've been having a couple of issues with problems that involve using proportions of sorts.

Well heres what I did:

Make PS=x
You know what PT=2/5x so TS=3/5x

To make the triangle equal an area of 7, I just made it RS=7 and so 3/5x would have to equal 2 in order to make that triangle’s area equal 7. So we now know that x= 10/3.

Area of rectangle is the length (10/3) x width (7) which equal 70/3. Not sure if my way is very mathematical, but it works.

Great! thanks for your help. I was stuck trying to get a ratio between PT and PS.

Alternatively, We know that (1/2)3/5x multiplied by the height will give us 7.

So 3/5xh=14

xh=70/3

This might be easier :)

Super cool problem! Thanks so much for posting, that totally had me thinking for a minute!

Hey guys, another quick question:
