Quick Scheduling Question

If you were to take a Math class that was from 9-10 am (MWF) and a Sociology class that was from 10-11am (MW), would the counselor let you do that even if you have to run from building to building?

Yes, that’s fine. Classes actually start 10 minutes after the time stated in the catalog, so the 10-11am class actually runs from 10:10-11, the 10 minutes being referred to as “Berkeley Time” and allowing people with back-to-back classes to be on time for both of them.

However, you may want to check the campus map to make sure that the journey between the two buildings is manageable. (from the sounds of it, Math [Evans] to Sociology [Dwinelle/Wheeler?] is definitely doable at a normal-paced walk)

Thanks! That’s great news! =)

Note that the east side of campus is uphill compared to the west side. So going from Tolman to Wurster quickly will require good physical fitness.

Here is the map[/url”>http://www.berkeley.edu/map/3dmap/3dmap.shtml]map.

I have never had a problem getting from one side of campus to another in ten minutes. People are often pretty late to lecture classes anyway (and sometimes sections too!)
