Hey everyone. I have been playing water polo since freshman year, and I am now starting junior year of high school. I took a SAT class in the summer and it goes all the way till October. My SAT class is only once a week, but it interferes with my water polo practice. My coach has just told me that if I can't switch my class around, I might have to drop water polo. The problem is that I can't switch it, so it looks like I will probably have to drop. How important is playing a sport for all 4 years as opposed to taking a break junior year? I'm taking all AP and honors classes and have gotten all A's throughout high school. Should I be worried or concerned that I won't be able to do water polo this year? Thanks.

The coach would kick you off the team for missing one practice per week for an academic reason? Some one (parent, teacher, administrator) needs to have talk with this guy.
